Luxurious Bath

Ahhhh, there's nothing quite as yummy as a warm bath (especially a creative one with flower petals, salts, and oils!). 

I'm not sure where in our wiring we started to believe we aren't worth [a bath] or don't have time to run one.  I remember at some point in my life I neglected my self-care so much, I dated a cheating man just because he would run me a bath after a long day of work (Well, there were more reasons than that, but we won't get into that right now!

Anyway, warm baths can have several healing properties.  Water is healing.  Relaxing in water is healing.  Cleansing yourself is healing.  Oils are healing.  And bubbles are fun! You get the picture.  Everything about a bath is Healing.  It helps relax your mind, soothes body aches and lifts your spirits.  So I hope you'll make the time to run a bath and enjoy your body in some warm water! 

Here are some ideas to make your bath even more fun and healing: 
  • Run your water at the temperature you desire.  I know you love that hot water but remember warm water is best for your skin!
  • Use a generous amount of Epsom salt.  Run it under the water so it spreads throughout your tub. Epsom salt helps alleviate tension in the body! 
  • Get your favorite essential oil(s)! A few drops (10ish) of Lavender, Rose (Venus is in Retrograde!!!), and Eucalyptus are all really nice oils to use in baths.  My current favorite is Serenity by DoTerra®. It's a delicious blend of all my faves, including lavender, vanilla, and vetiver. It's really important that your oil is pure - especially for a bath - you don't want to soak in chemical-based oils!*  
  • Flower yourself up! I was in Bali - home of the frangipani - when the photo above was taken, and even though we can't hop on a plane and treat ourselves that way, we can (maybe) get our hands on some roses or other sweet smelling flowers! Sprinkle some petals in your water.  Here are some ideas for flowers (or oils): 
              Rose - Hydrates the skin.
              Lavender - Calms the mind and relieves stress
              Jasmine - Enhances and uplifts mood
              Chamomile - Soothes skin
              Rosemary Petals - Promotes circulation and mental focus
  • Light up! Light some incense and some candles.  Set the mood for yourself - you deserve it! 
  • Grab a good ol' fashion book, your kindle, audiobook or podcast! 
  • Get in and enjoy yourself! ​
