"If you touch one thing with deep awareness, you touch everything" -Thich Nhat Han
Join us this Holiday season for a special series of Yin workshops designed to help bring ease and relaxation in your body and mind. Perhaps consider gifting it to someone you'd otherwise be spending this holiday season with.
Each practice will include a sequence exclusively designed to activate your parasympathetic nervous system (rest and digest) and target a specific meridian (energy) channel of the body. Each practice will also include a guided meditation, breath-work, and a long savasana.
Research shows a strong relationship between the enteric nervous system (which lives in our guts) and the actual brain (which governs our autonomic nervous system (flight or flight, etc..).Stress in one system often affects the other. If we can learn how relax one, then we simultaneouslyrelax the other.
Join us for a special two hour sequence designed to stretch and strengthen the organs in our enteric system. During this practice we'll focus on poses to stimulate the flow of chi (vital energy) through our digestive organs (specifically the stomach and spleen) and promote rest and digestion through our whole body and mind. A great workshop designed to relieve stress, foggy brain, gas, indigestion, bloating and distention!
The winter solstice is celebrated by several cultures around the world as it is believed to be a powerful container of energy for self-reflection, renewal and regeneration.Your energy is your source of life. When we pause and give ourselves the gift of self-reflection, we are revitalizing our energy and preparing ourselves to come back home to our body and spirit.
This solstice, embark on an unforgettable Yin experience with senior teacher Michelle B. and connect back with the power of awareness, presence and breath. During our practice, we'll focus on opening the deep tissue and energies that govern our hips, pelvis, hearts, and mind. There will be plenty opportunities for self-reflection, journaling and honoring the most auspicious and longest night of the year.
Using mindfulness, breathwork, and reiki (energy), we will explore the shadow energies that have kept us small cluttered, and restricted this past year. We'll come into the deepest parts of ourselves and unleash the power to manifest our truth in the new year!
During the practice, we’ll focus on softening the spaces known to hold stress: our shoulders, hips, heart and belly. There will be opportunities to meditate, journal, and come to our own innate wisdom
Class will end with a special extended savasana featuring a sound bath
Come for an intensely loving experience. Leave feeling revived and renewed for the new year to come!
These sacred practices are open to all lovers (and levels of experience!). Great tools for Yogis athletes, and anyone who wants to learn how to feel into their body. Come with loose fitting clothing (sleeves and pants, yoga clothes ok).
